Understanding Sexuality: for Children & Adolescents who have Developmental Challenges and Difficulties
Program for Pre- and Early Adolescents
An eight-week, one and a half hour per week group session program that allows participants to acquire knowledge, ask questions and examine their beliefs, values and gain comfort with their sexuality.
Program for Adolescents
An eight-week, group session program that addresses age-appropriate / developmental stage questions on a wide variety of topics that enables participants to gain better understanding of the changes that they are experiencing in relation to their sexuality.
Workshop for Residential Staff
A two-hour workshop that addresses a team approach to assisting children and adolescents with understanding and accepting their physical and sexual growth and development. This workshop is custom-designed for residential program staff, who are working with children and adolescents who have developmental difficulties.
Workshop for Foster Parents
A two-hour workshop that assists foster parents in gaining knowledge and comfort in helping foster children and adolescents understand how they are growing and developing within their sexuality. Practical interventions and strategies are presented and discussed that enable foster parents to become more comfortable, as well as determining what are the best practices in terms of sexualized behaviours that some of their foster children exhibit.

Presenter: Candice Reich, BA, CYW
Candice has been working in the social services field since 2004. Her specialization is sexual health, and in 2009 she begun developing and facilitating sexual health education workshops for individuals of all ages. She has developed a comprehensive sexual health education workshop series.
